IMNRZ Live Commerce earns its spot on a lot of WooCommerce stores because it's free, reads live inventory and sale data straight from WooCommerce, and bakes WhatsApp inquiries into flash-sale landing pages without a page-builder subscription. But its whole focus is the front end of a sale — countdown timers, stock urgency, and a dedicated showcase page for products you're actively pushing. That's a different job from what happens when a shopper adds something to cart and then simply leaves. If your bigger problem isn't "how do I build a flash-sale page" but "how do I stop losing sales to abandoned carts," you need a plugin built around that specific loop, which is where CartRevival comes in.
CartRevival is also a free, self-hosted WordPress.org plugin, but it solves a different problem than IMNRZ Live Commerce: instead of turning your catalog into an urgency-driven landing page, it watches shopping carts in real time — including guest checkouts — and tries to win the sale back before or after someone abandons it. It has an exit-intent popup that fires before a visitor leaves, plus a recovery sequence that goes out over email and WhatsApp once someone does abandon their cart. Like IMNRZ Live Commerce, the free version on WordPress.org isn't a crippled trial: live cart monitoring, exit-intent popups, and both email and WhatsApp recovery are included with no stated cap on cart volume or email sends. Where the two plugins genuinely overlap is WhatsApp: if you're a WhatsApp-first seller in a market like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America, CartRevival's WhatsApp recovery messages and IMNRZ's WhatsApp cart inquiries are complementary rather than competing — one recovers carts that were about to be lost, the other lets shoppers act on urgency in the first place.
The tradeoff with CartRevival shows up if you want to go further than the free tier. CartRevival PRO adds SMS recovery, web push notifications, and more advanced multi-step automation, but unlike IMNRZ Live Commerce — which has no paid tier at all — CartRevival's PRO pricing isn't published in the plugin's WordPress.org listing or readme; you have to visit the vendor's site to see current tiers and costs. That makes it a bit harder to budget for up front compared to IMNRZ's flat "free forever" model, though the recommended approach is the same low-risk one: install CartRevival's free version, run it through a real week of cart traffic, and only evaluate PRO pricing once you know whether SMS or push notifications would actually move your recovery rate.
In short, these two plugins aren't really substitutes — they address different stages of the same WooCommerce funnel. IMNRZ Live Commerce is for driving urgency and showcasing products during an active sale, while CartRevival is for catching the shoppers who got partway through checkout and left. A store running flash sales through IMNRZ Live Commerce could reasonably run CartRevival alongside it, using one to create urgency at the top of the funnel and the other to recover carts at the bottom.
