What HITJMS Integration Actually Does

HITJMS Integration is a free plugin listed on WordPress.org that bridges a WordPress site with the HITJMS platform — a practice/patient management system built specifically for treatment centers and behavioral health organizations. If you already run HITJMS on the backend and your front-end marketing site is on WordPress, this plugin is meant to close the gap between the two without a middleman like Zapier.

Based on the plugin's stated feature set, it handles five things:

  • Intake form submissions — pushes form entries from your WordPress site directly into HITJMS as intake records, rather than dropping into an inbox for manual entry.
  • Contact syncing — keeps leads/contacts captured on the site in sync with records inside HITJMS.
  • Auto-blogging — pulls content generated inside HITJMS (likely care-related or SEO content the platform produces) and publishes it as WordPress posts automatically.
  • Visitor tracking — tracks site visitor behavior and presumably ties it back to HITJMS contact records.
  • Embedded chat widget — drops a chat widget on the site that's connected to HITJMS rather than a third-party chat vendor.

This is a narrow, vertical-specific tool. It is not a general-purpose form or CRM plugin — it only makes sense if HITJMS is already your system of record.

Pricing: The Plugin Is Free, HITJMS Itself Is Not

The plugin download itself has no listed price on WordPress.org, which is standard — WordPress.org does not host paid plugins directly. Installing HITJMS Integration costs nothing.

However, the plugin is useless without an active HITJMS platform account, and HITJMS does not publish its pricing publicly. Their pricing page (hitjms.com/pricing.html) is gated behind a sales conversation rather than listing tiers or per-seat costs. This is common in healthcare-adjacent SaaS, but it means you can't evaluate the true cost of adopting this stack — free plugin, unknown-cost platform — without booking a call.

Practically, that means your real decision isn't "should I install this plugin," it's "am I already paying for or considering HITJMS as my treatment center's practice management platform." If the answer is no, this plugin isn't relevant to you regardless of price.

Concrete Use Cases

  • A residential treatment center using HITJMS for admissions and case management wants its public WordPress site's "Request a Consultation" form to create an intake record automatically, instead of staff re-keying submissions from a WPForms email notification.
  • A behavioral health outpatient clinic wants blog content that HITJMS generates (e.g., care-related articles) to publish to their WordPress site on a schedule, without a staff member manually copy-pasting.
  • A multi-location addiction treatment provider wants every site visitor who fills out a contact form to show up as a synced contact inside HITJMS, so admissions counselors have one place to work leads instead of checking email and a CRM separately.
  • A center wants a chat widget on its site that routes conversations into the same system where clinical/admissions staff already work, rather than adding a separate Intercom or Drift subscription.

What's Missing or Unclear

A few things worth flagging before you install this on a live site, especially one collecting protected health information:

  • No visible changelog depth or long update history yet — as a newly surfaced plugin, there isn't a multi-year track record of security patches to point to.
  • HIPAA/PHI handling isn't documented in the plugin listing. Intake forms for treatment centers frequently collect sensitive health information. Before using this in production, get explicit written confirmation from HITJMS about BAA (Business Associate Agreement) coverage for data passed through this plugin — don't assume it's covered just because the parent platform serves healthcare.
  • No public user reviews or install-count history yet to gauge real-world reliability of the sync and auto-blogging features.

How It Compares to General-Purpose Alternatives

Most treatment centers evaluating this plugin are really choosing between building HITJMS-native integration versus stitching together general tools. Here's how it stacks up:

HITJMS IntegrationGravity Forms + ZapierHubSpot WordPress IntegrationFormidable Forms + API Connectors
PricePlugin free; requires paid HITJMS account (pricing not public)Gravity Forms $59–$259/yr + Zapier from $19.99/mo (Starter)Free plugin; HubSpot CRM free tier, Marketing Hub from $20/moFormidable free tier; paid $39.50–$247.50/yr, API add-ons extra
Native HITJMS syncYes, built for it directlyNo — requires custom Zap per actionNoNo — requires custom webhook/API setup
Auto-blogging from platform contentYes, built-inNot available (would need custom Zap + WP app)Not available nativelyNot available
Chat widget includedYes, tied to HITJMSNoYes, HubSpot's own chatNo
Best forOrgs already on HITJMS wanting one connected stackTeams wanting flexible, no-code routing to dozens of toolsOrgs wanting a full marketing/CRM suite beyond just formsDevelopers wanting granular control over form-to-API logic
Setup complexityLow if already on HITJMS; irrelevant otherwiseMedium — Zap logic per form/actionLow-medium, but HubSpot ecosystem lock-inMedium-high, requires some technical setup
Maturity/track recordNew, unprovenLong-established, widely usedLong-established, widely usedLong-established, widely used

The honest takeaway: Gravity Forms + Zapier and Formidable Forms give you more flexibility and a much longer track record, but neither talks to HITJMS out of the box — you'd be building and maintaining that connection yourself. HubSpot is a stronger general marketing/CRM platform but doesn't understand HITJMS's data model at all. HITJMS Integration wins only on one axis: zero-configuration connection to a platform you're already paying for.

Should You Install It Today?

Install it if you're already running HITJMS as your practice management platform and want your WordPress site's forms, chat, and content to stop living in a separate silo — the setup cost is low since the plugin itself is free, and the integration work you'd otherwise pay a developer to build via Zapier or custom API calls is already done.

Hold off if you're not on HITJMS, or if you are but handle sensitive intake data and haven't yet gotten written confirmation from HITJMS on how PHI is handled through this plugin. Given it's a new, unreviewed plugin, test it on a staging site first and watch how the intake sync and auto-blogging behave before pointing it at your production admissions form.
